7. Local Objects
 
  Article 60-Local Executive Government  
60.1 Local Executive Government  
  The executive Power of the District shall be vested in an executive government comprising of a Mayor and the Local Board of Directors.  
60.2 The Mayor  
  The Mayor is the supreme leader of the District, its head and prime representative. The office of the Mayor is the highest elected office of a district and at all times should be considered with the greatest dignity and respect.  
  Power of the Mayor  
  By virtue of this Charter, a Mayor is vested with the executive authority to manage the needs and affairs of the district through the selection or dismissal of wise counsel in the form of their Local Board of Directors, the agencies, officials and administration of the Local Government.  
  The Mayor shall have the authority over all agencies and Local Directors as Chairman of the Board of Directors. As Chairman, the Mayor may choose to overrule motions of the Board and select the agenda and minutes of the Board meetings.  
  The Mayor shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the College, shall appoint public officials and magistrates, and all other Officers of the District, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the College may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the Mayor alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.  
  Oath of the Mayor  
  Prior to the commencement of their term of office, the Mayor shall make the following public oath- “--"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of Mayor of (district), and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the District of (district) and the Charter of United Britain.”  
  Term of the Mayor  
  The Mayor shall hold their Office during the Term of two Years, and be elected by local (district) election following the procedures for general, state and national elections contained within this Charter.  
  Maximum term tenure of Mayor  
  By this Charter a Governor is ineligible to serve beyond a total of four terms (8) years. A Mayor having served the nation for greater than fourteen (14) years shall be known as a Grand Mayor.  
  Payment of the Mayor  
  The Mayor shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be increased nor diminished during the Period for which they shall have been elected, and shall not receive any other income during their term.  
60.3 The Local Board of Directors (District Board)  
  In the good management of the district, its affairs and requirements can be compared to the good conduct of a corporation with its Members as shareholders.  
  The District Board of Directors shall be a board of individuals selected by the Mayor to head the permanent statutory authorities and uphold the laws regarding the critical systems of the district. The tenure of a Director shall be at the sole discretion of the Mayor.  
  Given the importance of each system within our society functioning to its optimum, the position of a District Director should reflect the very best of the community with the knowledge, experience and respect relating to the system they manage.
